Christmas...A MIRACLE

I don't want to think that my Christmas's are gonna be weird all the time, I want to think they won't be. But this Christmas was a Miracle no matter what weirdness was going on!

This past Christmas was wild! I had been praying months before to have a Christmas with the kids inside! I had no idea where that was gonna be however believed for it!

In November 2025 I was visiting a hospital while a loved one was in there, and I had been sleeping in the hospital's family room for some time, several weeks, but with no hospitality except on the floor where I visited each day, I didn't want to really be there anymore. So I got this nudge to phone a friend who lived nearby, I needed to get some laundry done, and frankly I was excited to have tea or cocoa and good conversation. It had been a while since we spoke, so I wasn't so sure how it was all gonna work out, But God!

So I contacted the friend finally and drove over there, caught up with my friend, got a lot of laundry done, which took almost all day. I had mentioned I may bring some food and eat it there too but I was willing to share it. So we had a dinner that night. She offered the night to stay. Then a night turned into as long as I wanted to stay while my loved one was in the hospital, and then before I knew it, I was there for about almost a month!

Christmas Time was approaching I was still there around that time, so she invited the kids to come and hang out with her kids and have Christmas there too. They had not seen them in years, almost 2 years I think, so it was a good time for them. So the kids hung out with her kids there for a day to 2 days and then it was just me and my kids for Christmas, so we took a nice trip to the hospital and hung out with our loved one, for a little bit of time, because my son was not ok with coming into the building, which is fine, don't blame him. I left him with the van and keys, he is 15, in case y'all are wondering. We went in for a small bit I had brought pork tenderloin with a sweet and spicy crusted seasoning on it, we were dropping off some for him, and we enjoyed some pieces too, and then had to leave cause other child in car, in parking lot, so we went back to the house and enjoyed dinner there too, so double dinners!!

God had taken care of it all, Christmas inside!! No gifts in boxes or bags BUT God made a better present! Time with the kids and loved one and friends indoors instead of in a car in the cold, such a PRAISE THE LORD moment!! He even was gonna help me with getting and picking out a gift for the kids, but I didn't go out to get the gifts until after the Christmas visit. Still didn't get the gifts I wanted to get for the kids but I did get some goodies for them per the request of our loved one who was in the hospital (I say this because when he is ready to tell his story, he will, so for this one, "loved one" it is).

It kind of reminds me of the grinch, he tried to destroy Christmas by taking away all the "whos" stuff, but it didn't stop it, did it?? They had Christmas still! Even without bags, tags, boxes, trees, right? So, that was kind of like our Christmas, something tried to take, but it didn't work! The love was still there, the smiles and good times still there, and time with the kids still there. I could look at all the "other stuff" I experienced that was not so pleasant but I'd rather not, and just focus on the Goodness of what God did in the midst of it.
